Most of us have traveled through an airport, at least once in our lives. For some it may be a regular occurance. I have a friend who travels the world and considers that he spends more time on an airplane that in the office!
When traveling through airports on a regular basis we will start to discern what makes a good airport, and what are the ones that don't function as well, or suits our needs.
Often, what sets airports apart is the thought put into the design by the aviation consultant who design it.
Most of us would not consider the work that goes into designing and developing an airport.
